Summer Concerts 2024

Please come along to one of our informal concerts, aiming to bring orchestral music to the wider community. Enjoy a drink, hopefully some sunshine and some uplifting music for an enjoyable afternoon or evening! We will be playing at the following 3 outdoor venues:

  • Thursday 27th June, 7.30pm at Gossmore Park, Marlow
  • Sunday 30th June, 2pm at The Bounty, Bourne End
  • Thursday 4th July, 7.30pm at The Two Brewers, Marlow

Previous Concert – 20th April 2024

This was the first concert in our 10th anniversary year, featuring :

  • Mussorgsky orch. Ravel: Pictures at an Exhibition
  • Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini

As is becoming traditional for our spring concert, this featured a young soloist from the local area – Firoze Madon – a piano finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2022. And the full house at All Saints Church in Marlow were treated to a very special performance

Children’s Concert – 25th Nov 2023

Another successful children’s concert, this time at All Saints Church in Marlow. To keep the children entertained, this featured pieces from The Dam Busters March to Let It Go (from Frozen) as well as solos from each section of the orchestra, with the woodwind particularly impressive. Arguably the highlights (for the younger sections of the audience at least) were the two Leroy Anderson pieces featuring a typewriter solo (in “The Typewriter”!) and farm animal solos (in “Old MacDonald”)!

If you missed it, have a look at the videos that have been uploaded.
